Wade is the former owner of Utility Supply Group and has a B.S. in Business from the University of Nebraska and an MBA concentrating in Banking & Finance from the University of Nebraska.
Wade is a retired Naval Submarine Officer having served on active duty and as a reservist. Wade is qualified as an ‘Engineer’ on Naval Nuclear Power Plants. After several years in commercial banking and financial markets, followed six years in database marketing. Wade founded Utility Supply Group in 2001 as a distributor of electrical, gas and water utility supplies to RV Resorts and Manufactured Housing communities throughout North America.
Wade and the staff of Utility Supply Group collectively have many years of experience designing electrical layouts in RV parks to meet the needs of the customer and follow National Electric Code. Wade has presented many seminars and forums on topics as varied as Electrical Distribution, Electric Vehicle Service Equipment, Reducing Resource Usage, Electrical Metering and Power Outlet Panel maintenance.
Wade recently finished a 3-year term as the Supplier Council representative on the National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds (ARVC) board and is a former member of the Arizona Association of RV Parks & Campgrounds Board of Directors. He previously sat on the ARVC board as a representative of the ARVC Business Forum where he served as its Chairman.
Wade is a primary member on Code Making Panel 7 of the National Fire Protection Association’s National Electric Code panel and is a member of the Underwriters Laboratory Standards Technology Panel 231, (Power Outlets). Additionally, Wade is an alternate member of the National Fire Protection Association’s 1192/1194 (RV’s, RV Parks) committees. Wade sits on these panels as a representative of the National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds (ARVC).
Wade is a member of the Board of Directors for the KOA Care Camp Trust and serves as its Chairman. This non-profit foundation collects donations and provides funds for summer camps in the USA and Canada for children with cancer and their families. In 2017, the Foundation collected over $1.6 million to provide the ‘Healing Nature of Camping’ to children who suffer from or have survived cancer. In July 2017 Care Camps had collected and distributed over $12 million since its inception.
